Races with the red DAG logo  were timed with our new state-of-the-art microchip timing system.
And remember: we time all races with a backup system in place, which ensures you'll get your results quickly and accurately!

The Anew Run occurs in downtown Jamestown to benefit The Salvation Army Anew Center serving victims of domestic violence, rape, and sexual assault in Chautauqua County. The Anew Run is sanctioned by the USATF and will be timed by PCR Timing using the DAG system.
Race day registration opens at 7 am in The Salvation Army Gymnasium. The run will begin at 9:30 am, rain or shine. Awards will be presented to the top M & F, and top 3 M & F in each group of 14 & under, 15 –20, 21-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & over.

Join us for our 2nd Annual event. Our inaugural event in 2007 had over 380 participants. This year’s event will benefit the Naples Community Park. Last year the Village of Naples allowed us to rename the hill known as Mt. Pleasant Street to its now race day name of Mt. Misery. Everyone agreed that Mt. Misery offered a tough 5K course challenge. If you are looking for a fun and challenging course (short and steep hill at the start/Mt. Misery near the end) that will test your early season fitness, this is the 5K for you! The course will take you in a figure 8 through the village of Naples, which will allow your friends and family to see you at the start, during and at end of the 5K. After the 5K stay in Naples and enjoy our local shops, restaurants and wineries. |

There will be 5 year increments and the last award group will be 80 plus in the 5K race. This applies to both men and women in the 5K race. No duplication of awards.
In the Fitness Walk, awards will be given to the top ten walkers regardless of gender. |

The Medved 5K to Cure ALS is held annually on Father's Day. Proceeds from this event go to benefit laboratory research presently being conducted at the ALS-Therapy Development Institute in Boston, MA. Since its inception, this event has raised over $120,000 for ALS research. With an olympic style finish, around the warning track of Frontier Field, this race features one of the best venues in Rochester running. Five Mile Registration Fees: $22 though November 22nd; $25 November 23rd through raceday.
One Mile Registration Fee: $5 No Shirt, $10 With Shirt Pre-Registered through November 23rd.
How To Register: Complete Registration Form and return with payment made out to Southeast Family YMCA, or Register Online
Race Amenities: Off-Site Parking at nearby Jefferson Road Elementary School; bag storage (bring your own lock); child care for pre-registered runners only beginning at 8 am; awards and refreshments to follow; race shirts guaranteed to first 400 pre-registered 5 mile runners; massages.
Packet Pick-Up: at Medved Running and Walking Outfitters, 3400 Monroe Avenue, Rochester, NY 14618, on Saturday, November 22nd from 10-5 (must be pre-registered by November 14th). |

Proceeds from this event will benefit the Y's Invest in Youth Campaign which provides financial support allowing families to participate in membership and program activities. In economic times such as now, programs like the Invest in Youth Campaign take on even great importance. We hope you can start your Thanksgiving week off with us at the Southeast Y and support this great cause.
In celebration of the 25th Anniversary, there will be all sorts of surprises surrounding the number 25. For example, the 25 male and female to cross the finish line will receive something special.

A new USATF-certified 5 mile road course run along the shore of Lake Ontario on the newly created and scenic Lakeside Trail that follows portions of Lake Shore Blvd and Sweet Fern Rd and includes a 13 foot wide timber boardwalk/bridge crossing over Tamarack Swamp.
